The old vineyards on the coast and the local varieties planted bear witness to the resilience and history of many generations. The land is harsh with a variety of soil types, exposure to the sun and altitudes, with each vineyard and winery making every wine from the town of Porrera unique in its own way.

The slate mountains in the east of the Priorat region form the Cortiella Valley. In the middle of the valley, the river Cortiella passes through the village of Porrera, crossed by the old bridge or Pont Vell, the reference and link between the people of Porrera. Like the bridge, the association of Cellers de Porrera comprises a union between the wineries of our town.
